Color Dominance PortfolioThe Color Dominance project is designed to challenge students to utilize the powerful element of color. Photographs should exhibit a dominant color scheme or harmony (see color theory page here). Students should be aware of the narrative and emotional impacts that color usage can have on viewers. Photographs should exhibit not just a presence of color but an understanding of how to utilize the element of color to the direct your audience's gaze and/or interpretation of the image. Photographs must reflect a deepening understanding of the elements of photography (lens aperture, shutter speed & ISO) and Photoshop manipulation. Examples can be found to the right. The project rubric is attached at the bottom of the page. |
