Motion PortfolioThe motion portfolio project is designed to challenge students to create an interesting example of motion in their photography while not losing sight of the compositional elements that make a photograph successful. Students are expected to produce a total of four final photographs. Two photographs should reflect an attempt at capturing a split second in time using a fast shutter speed setting. The other two photographs should reflect an attempt at capturing a motion blur with a slow shutter speed setting. Careful attention should be paid to how adjusting the shutter speed will require students to adjust their aperture diameter and ISO sensitivity accordingly in order to limit or increase the amount of light in the photograph.
Examples can be found to the right. The project rubric is attached at the bottom of the page. |
