Advanced Digital Photography & ImagingAdvanced Digital Photography & Imaging will be presented as a largely self-directed course, allowing the students to effectively design their own curriculum. During the first week, the instructor will give several tutorials on basic Photoshop techniques and strategies that will equip students with a foundation for further exploration. Students will collaborate with the instructor in order to design learning targets that are clear, concise and align with local and national visual art curriculum standards.
Beginning during the second week, students will be expected to keep a digital journal on Google Docs. This journal should reflect the student’s creative process and research. They will post once per week and discuss and reflect on their work. Posts will be in the form of both open reflection and responses to pre-scripted prompts from the instructor. Posts must include screenshots of student work. Students will also be expected to host their own individual website online. The instructor will provide students with a list of projects for the students to select from for completion. If a student prefers, he/she may elect to complete a project of his/her own design. This project proposal must be submitted to the instructor for approval before the student may begin. |
