Final PortfolioStudents in Digital Photography 1 are expected to produce a final portfolio project at the end of the quarter. This portfolio should be a reflection of the techniques and skills learned during the course Digital Photography 1.
The final portfolio should include no fewer than 5 photographs. The photographs should exhibit a strong command over manual camera operations as well as a firm understanding and application of the elements of photography. It is recommended that the photographs display a range in their depth of field. In addition to the technical and compositional requirements of this project, the final portfolio should contain a thematic element. There should be a common thread and/or theme to the photographs included in the portfolio. It is suggested that students envision this project as if they are being given an exhibition at a local gallery and to produce a cohesive collection of work. An example of a final portfolio can be found to the right. The project rubric is attached at the bottom of the page. |
