Close-Up PortfolioWith the Close-Up Photography project is designed to increase student's awareness of compositional space. Focus elements for this portfolio include, but are not limited to: texture and space. Students should continue to develop their understanding of lens aperture, shutter speed & ISO (film speed). Students are expected to focus on composition and less on what the photograph is of. In other words, the subject of the photograph should be the abstract compositional nature of the photograph rather than the object(s) being photographed. Students are also expected to begin to expand their Photoshop techniques to include dodging, burning, the sponge tool, and selection tools.
Examples can be found to the right. The project rubric is attached at the bottom of the page. |
