Happy Sunday, everyone! This week, we are going to be working with drawing challenges. Again, you are welcome to use any media you like, so if you prefer painting, collaging, etc., please do so!
I am going to link to several challenges that you can choose from. One challenge in particular is "Inktober." Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. Each day of October has a different theme. The Inktober site has daily prompts from the last several years worth of Inktobers. Try to select at least 2 or three to complete this week. Remember, use any media you like. You don’t have to create one every day to participate. Let’s see your work!!

Here is a link to "Doodle Addicts" drawing challenge that you can submit work to and even win prizes (If you submit, let me know so we can all vote for your work)! CLICK HERE
As always, please share ANYTHING that you are working on at home. I have included pictures of some recent student submissions as well as some sketches out of my own sketchbook over the years. Drawing is so therapeutic. There are going to be some warm and sunny days this week, so open the windows, step outside and take your sketchbook with you. There is nothing like sitting out in the grass in the sunshine with your imagination and a pencil in hand!
Remember, please submit any and all work to our Google Doc HERE, and I will include them in an upcoming Blog post.
Stay healthy, stay safe and enjoy this week by learning new things and enjoying the time you have to do so. It is a wonderful opportunity to engage in some personal growth. This week, I am committing to spending some time in my own Art studio at home. Might have to put some markers and paper on the floor for the kids, but it will be some great creative time together. I am also going to try my hand at chicken francese, pain au chocolat, and I might even fire up the smoker for some ribs and pork shoulder!
I will check in via email on Wednesday. Be well and BE CREATIVE!
Best,
Koza
