Happy Friday, everyone! I hope that this has been a productive week. I myself have kept busy with many walks to the old Iowa Marching Band field with my kids. Soccer, bubbles, streamers, the works! I have had some time to work in the kitchen as well! Fresh baked bread, several batches of cookies, chicken puttanesca, stuffed pepper casserole, scratch meatballs and sauce... it's been fun.
I have received submissions from several of you for the activity this past week. All fantastic! I have shared them below. We will return to another photo challenge in a week or two. Next week (April 6-10), I will be posting several drawing/painting challenges. If you prefer to work in collage or assemblage (sculpture), you are of course welcome to that as well. If possible, collect some drawing or painting supplies over the weekend (markers, colored pencils, pencils, ink pens, watercolor, paper, etc.). Dick Blick also delivers online orders quickly. I just ordered some personal supplies on Tuesday and they were delivered yesterday. Please remember, these activities are completely voluntary and you can easily complete them with materials you likely have around the house. Pencil and paper will do just fine.
If you are creating ANYTHING at home, please do not hesitate to share it to our Google Doc here:

In the meantime, I have not heard back from anyone interested in creating the SCSD T-Shirt for the spring. I will reach out to some of you if I do not hear back this week.
Anyway, stay healthy, safe and creative! I have also posted two things on my drafting table this week. One is the second in a series of Iowa-themed prints I am creating. This print will focus on the Iowa Ornate Box Turtle. The other is a quick sketch that my daughter demanded I draw of an AT-AT walker from Star Wars. She decided it needed some color...
I will touch base on Monday with the new activity!
